  • 08/07/2018: The paper “Maximization of fertility transfers from rangeland to cropland: the contribution of control theory” submitted to the journal “Ecological Modelling” has been rejected because they did not find any reviewer!!
  • 08/06/2018: The paper “Anti-windup Input-Output linearization strategy for the control of a Multi-Stage Continuous Fermenter with Input constraints” submitted to the journal IEEE TCST has been reviewed. The reviewers suggested us to revise and resubmit the paper in the form of a Brief Paper.

  • 07/05/2018: My PhD student Anne Bisson submitted her paper entitled “Maximization of fertility transfers from rangeland to cropland: the contribution of control theory” to the journal “Ecological Modelling”.
  • 01/05/2018: My PhD student Francesco Piccioni submitted an abstract entitled “Cyanobacteria dynamics: Comparison of two different ecological modeling approaches” to the 18th International Conference on Harmful Algae (ICHA) that will take place in Nantes (France), from the 21th to the 26th october 2018.
  • 24/04/2018: I attended to the Scientific seminar about the use of satellite data for the agriculture. Organized by the scientific Chair AGROTIC.
  • 16/04/2018: Revision requested for the paper “West African farming systems as meta-ecosystems: an ecological source-sink modelling approach of the nitrogen cycle and crop production” that was submitted to the journal “Agricultural Systems”.

  • 15/02/2018: My PhD student Francesco Piccioni submitted an abstract entitled “Stratification and mixing regime of a shallow polymictic lake” to the 5th IAHR Europe Congress 2018 (International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research) that will take place in Trento (Italy), from the 12th to the 14th June 2018.
  • 14/02/2018: The project STARWINE (STrategies for the real-time control of ARoma production during WINE fermentation) has passed the first stage of selection of the call for proposals of the ANR 2018.
  • 06/02/2018: The application of Joseph Kahn for the PhD Thesis co-funded by NUMEV and the ANR project ANSWER has been accepted by the labEx NUMEV.
  • 02/02/2018: Joseph Kahn will be auditioning this afternoon by the LabEx NUMEV as a PhD candidate for the PhD Thesis co-funded by NUMEV and the ANR project ANSWER.
  • 30-31/01/2018: End of the internship of Joseph Kahn and Carlos Santana that came back to Peru to defend their master thesis.

  • 18/12/2017: The PhD Thesis application submitted at the Generic Call for Proposals of the LabEx NUMEV in april 2017 has been accepted!
  • 8/12/2017: I took part in the PhD thesis jury of Frédéric Soulignac (University of Paris-Est, supervised by Brigitte Vinçon-Leite) as an examiner.
  • 17/11/2017: Submission of an application for funding for a half PhD fellowship at the Generic Call for Proposals of the LabEx NUMEV.
  • 2-3/11/2017: I attend to the 2017 Water JPI (Joint Program Initiative) Exploratory Workshop, as national expert nominated by the ANR. This workshop takes place in Dublin, Ireland.
  • 15/10/2017: Arrival of Carlos Alberto Santana Rosas, a peruvian student from IMCA (Institute of Mathematics and Related Sciences) for a master 2 internship of 3 months and a half (until the end of January 2018). He will work on the “Model Identification and Control of a alcoholic fermentation with Nitrogen Addition”.
  • 10-12/10/2017: I give 15 hours of lessons in the master 2 B2E (Biodiversity, Ecology, Evolution)- specialty “Ecosystems” in the teaching module “modelling and quantification”.
  • 02/10/2017: Submission of an application for funding for a half PhD fellowship at the department MIA of INRA and at the meta-program MEM.
  • 05/09/2017: Arrival of Joseph Luis Kahn Casapia, a peruvian student from IMCA (Institute of Mathematics and Related Sciences) for a master 2 internship of 5 months (until the end of january 2018). He will work on the “Coupling of hydro-ecological models for the simulation of cyanobacteria dynamics in lake Taihu”. His work will be co-supervised by Antoine Rousseau from the INRIA project-team LEMON and will be part of the project ANSWER.

  • 18/07/2017: The project STARWINE (STrategies for the real-time control of ARoma production during WINE fermentation) that was submitted to the generic call for proposals of the ANR has not been accepted directly but it has been placed on the reserve list.
  • 9-14/07/2017: One week in Toulouse to attend to the 20th IFAC World Congress where I will present the paper “Simplification of dynamic problems by time-scale transformation: application to the nonlinear control with input positive constraints” that has been co-written with Emmanuel Montseny, from the University of Toulouse III – LAAS-CNRS.
  • 26-28/06/2017: Annual meeting of the department MIA (Applied Mathematics and Informatics) of INRA, that takes place in Toulouse.
  • 21/06/2017: Francesco Piccioni has obtained a funding from the Graduate School SIE (Sciences, Engineering and Environment) of the Université Paris-Est to start a PhD Thesis with Brigitte Vinçon-Leite from the LEESU and myself. This PhD Thesis will be co-funded by the project ANR ANSWER and is entitled “Eutrophic lake ecosystem modelling: Impact of climate change on hydrodynamics and cyanobacteria dynamics”
  • 19/06/2017: Arrival of Noémie Barillot, student at Télécom SudParis (1rst year) for an internship of about two months (until the end of august 2017). She will work on the modelling and the identification of the alcoholic fermentation with nitrogen addition.
  • 15-21/05/2017: Kickoff meeting of the ANR-NSFC project ANSWER, in China.
  • 17/05/2017: The PhD Thesis application submitted at the Generic Call for Proposals of the LabEx NUMEV in april 2017 was not accepted.

However, the project TASTE (Test of the impact on Arom Synthesis of TEmperature and nitrogen addition during the wine fermentation) was not accepted.

  • 17/12/2014: My application for the Research Fund for International Young Scientists,for the project entitled “Modeling and simulation of the toxic blooms dynamics of cyanobacterial population of the Lake Taihu”has been approved by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).
  • 16/12/2014: The paper entitled “Multi-Rate Mass Transfer (MRMT) models for general diffusive porosity structures” has been accepted for publication in “Advances in Water Resources”.
  • 08/2014: Application Paper Prize of the 19th IFAC World Congress 2014 (Cap Town, South Africa) for the paper entitled “Control of a Multi-Stage Continuous Fermentor for the study of the wine fermentation”
  • 23/04/2014: departure for China where I will work with professor Qin, in the Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology (NIGLAS), on the modeling of the population dynamics of cyanobacteria in the Lake Taihu.
