Jeudi 10 janvier 2013
Amphi 2 (Bâtiment 2 Bis) à 14h
Presentation of the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi and illustration of research activities conducted in the LMI RICE of Hanoi with studies about the gene regulatory network involved in crown-root development in rice
International Joint Laboratory « Rice Functionnal Genomics and Plant Biotechnology » (IRD, UM2, AGI, VAAS, USTH)
Agricultural Genetics Institute, Nat. Key Lab for Plant Cell Biotechnology, Pham Van Dong road, Co Nhue,Tuliem, Hanoi, Vietnam
In this presentation I will introduce the master and PhD programs of the department Biotechnology – Pharmacology of USTH. I will give an overview of the research thematic developed in the Laboratoire Mixte International « rice functional genomics and plant biotechnology » located in Hanoi and supported by IRD, UM2, USTH, AGI and VAAS. Finally I will develop the research conducted on crown root development in rice. This research combines association genetics, transcriptomics and functional genomics approaches and aims to decipher the genes involved in crown root development, in particular the genes regulated by the LBD/LOB transcription factor CROWN ROOT LESS 1 (CRL1) necessary to the formation of crown roots and in a lesser extend lateral roots in rice.
