Illuminating the plant ER-golgi interface: the dynamic of the endoplasmic reticulum export sites

Laurent Chatre
Pasteur Institute, Genome Dynamic Department, Paris

Through the proliferation, the differentiation, the life evolution and the influences of the environment, a eukaryotic cell can adapt its intracellular content and distribution to survive and grow. The secretory pathway is a major and dynamic component for the regulation of the intracellular equilibrium. An amazing and concrete demonstration is how a plant cell can modulate the secretory pathway at the Endoplasmic Reticulum-Golgi interface to follow an increase of newly-synthesized membrane cargoes. Viadifferent approaches and proteins families, gradually we will enter to the complex dynamic of plant ER subdomains and key proteins behaviour at this interface.
