The summer school will take place from July 1 to July 12, 2024, with five days dedicated to theoretical training (lectures and seminars), and 5 days to practical training.
Please, visit the website https://mistral.workshop.inrae.fr/ for full information, including a detailed description of the school contents (lectures, seminars and practical workshops), and the registration form (registration up to 30/05).
The registration fees are of 680 € with accommodation (rooms in our student residence) or 340 € without accommodation, the fees in both cases including breakfast & lunch during working days.

Mistral program summary
Four theoretical sessions:
– Concepts in membrane ion and water transport
– Methods for experimental studies of ion and water transport in plants
– Membrane transport proteins: structure-function & regulation
– From molecular analyses to whole plant physiology
Practical training: the attendees will select two workshops (3-6 persons per workshop) amongst the following 6 possibilities:
– W1: Use of Ca2+ and ROS genetically encoded biosensors to unravel plant signaling in response to environment changes
– W2: Voltage-clamp analyses of transporters and voltage-gated channels (« whole-cell » current recordings)
– W3: Local ion concentration and flux measurements at the surface of plant roots using ion-selective microelectrodes
– W4: Initiation to proteomics and phosphoproteomics
– W5: Water transport across membranes, cells and organs
– W6: Yeast as a tool to study in vivo protein-protein interactions and functional complementation studies
Guest scientists who will give seminars:
Ana Assunção (CIBIO, Portugal), Peng Yu (University of Bonn, Germany)
