AB  - A new species of the genus Acarothrix Bartsch, 1990 is described, A. geraldonae sp. nov., which may be distinguished from congeneric species by the presence of two well-developed corneae; first pair of dorsal setae lying at about the middle of anterior dorsal plate, third on striated cuticle between Ocular and Posterior Dorsal plates; six setae on tibiae I-II and accessory process present. Morphology of sperm cells and accompanying secretions are also reported, being identical in all relevant aspects to the closely related genus Copidognathus Trouessart, 1888.
