L. Koch, 1839) acarien, oribate. 4. Survivance, fecondite, action d un predateur. - This paper studies the survivorship of adults Nothrus palustris and compares the result obtained on groups of individuals reared in laboratory with those collected from groups maintained in field conditions but only subject to the action of climatic factors . On an other hand, an attempt is made in order to estimate the maximal (potential) fecondity of this species. Field samplings showed a seasonal cycle of the percentage of gravid temales and of the number of eggs in the body. It seems that the natural population grows young again twice a year without changing apprecially its density. The action of a predator mite (Pergamasus sp.) on Nothrus palustris was studied in laboratory. It appears that its influence is different according the age of the preys (larvas, nymphs, adults) and the nutritive conditions of the predators. Finaly, in the light of previous results, it is attempted to explain the dynamic of the species and to understand the control mechanisms of its density ER -
