Temperature greatly affected adult longevity which was rnaxirnal frorn 10° to 20°С and minimal at 40°с. Eggs were laid from 50 to 35 °С but the life cycle was cornpleted only between 200 and 35 0С, the rate of development increasing with ternperature. Relative hurnidity had а cornparatively rninor effect btit developrnent tended to Ье rnost rapid at 80 % RH and prernature rnortality to Ье high at 100 % RH. Maxirnurn population growth was at 25 0С/80 % RH. Adult fernales lived longer than rnales but their irnrnature stages developed at sirnilar rates. ER -
