AB  - The paper presents seven species of eriophyids which are new to science, collected from South India. Among these six species belong to the genus Aceria, namely Aceria dactlylonae sp. nov.; Aceria donacis sp. nov.; Aceria eragrastae sp. nov.; Aceria pustulatus sp. nov.; Aceria setaceus sp. nov.; Aceria agallochae sp. nov.; and to hold the seventh species a new genus Keiferophyes has been erected and Keijerophyes avicenniae sp. nov. placed in it. The mites have been adequately described and sketched.
