Abstract

Nouveaux Amblyseius d’Algérie (Parasitiformes: Phytoseiidae) - This paper reports 3 new algerian species of the genus Amblyseius Berlese. A. chergui n . sp. is an eviphid-like species of the Aberrans goup; it seems to be common on several host plants and in underground habitats in central and southern Algeria. A. rusticanus n. sp., of the Obtusus group, is closely related to A. setosus (Muma, 1955) in having. but one pair of preanal setae; the type female was taken in the Algiers area, on low growing plants. Collections of A. stipulatus n. sp., of the Finlandicus group, have been made on trees and low growing plants in the no.rthern part of the country ( areas of Bne and Algiers). The appendix gives some additions to the knowledge of A. finlandicus (Oudemans) and A. cucumeris ( Oudemans).
