Abstract

Two new species, Neotrombicula jordana sp. nov. and Hirsutiella billabeta sp. nov. are described from mice Apodemus sylvaticus (L.) collected in Navarra Province, Spain. Three species of chigger mites are recorded for the first time on the Iberian Peninsula. Data on distribution and morphology of 5 other species are presented (Hirsutiella zachvatkini, Leptotrombidium europaeum, Schoutedenichia krampitzi, Brunehaldia bulgarica, Cheladonta pannonica).
