A new fur mite from a Malayan bat, Neomyobia lavoipierrei n. sp. (Acarina: Myobiidae)
1966 - Volume: 8 Issue: 4 pages: 587-593
Neomyobia lavoipierrei, the first myobiid to be reported from Malaya is described, being based on one female recovered from a bat, Tadarida johorensis (Microchiroptera). It bears sorne resemblance to N. inaequalis Ewing, 1938, described from an American species of Tadarida, T. cyanocephala, but differs from it particularly with respect to the morphology of the setae of dorsum.
