Abstract

Beitrag zur Morphologie und Biologie von Chausseria venustissima (Berlese 1882) (Acarina, Trombidiformes, Anystidae). - Owing to an abundance of Chausseria venustissima (BERLESE, r88z) on a dry loam field in Oberweiden, Lower Austria, it was possible to examine their morphology, variability, and behavior on the surface of the soil. Also investigated were the influence of temperature, humidity, and light intensity upon their activity. Statements on the distribution of the mite are made.
