Abstract

Un acarien nuisible aux arbres fruitiers, en Afrique occidentale: Eutetranychus monodi Andre (Tetranychidae). - The only species of the genus Eutetranychus Banks (Acarina: Tetranychidae), recorded from West Africa is Eutetranychus monodi Andre which differs from Eutetranychits orientalis Klein. Considerable variations occur in the length of the dorsal setae of this taxon, even inside individual collections. E. monodi is polyphagous and feeds on Caricaceae, Cesalpiniaceae, Rutaceae and Tiliaceae; it is injurious to Citrus in Mauritania.
