Generalite sur le sous-genre Ixodes (Ixodes). - A list is given of all the known species of Ixodes s. str. from diverse biogeographical regions. For each species, the synonymy, distribution and hosts are given. Several species, usually considered to belong to the genus of Ixodes s. str. have been excluded form the list: ail species close to I. frontalt .s, together with five oriental species and ten species from the neotropical region.
