Abstract

Chaetotaxy of an Oribatid mite collected in Provence, and so far identified as Quadroppia quadricarinata (Michael), bas shown the presence of unexpected proral setae on adult legs II, III and IV. This study allows to distinguish between two forms by the solenidiotaxy on the level of legs II (as well as by the sensilli).
