Abstract
Hyadesia curassaviensis Viets, 1936 and H. sellai Viets, 1937 are redescribed and refigured from the typical material. The family Hyadesiidae Halbert, 1915 is redefined and the subfamily Algophaginae Fain, 1974 is elevated to the family rank. A key to the species is given.
