Abstract

Vaghia blascoi n. sp. (Galumnidae) , Oribatid mite from Palni mountain in South India is described. It is caracterized by absence of additional porosity in the male notogaster and an unpaired area porosa A3. This species is set wide apart the 3 other species of the genus, all european, living chiefly in pyrenean zone.
