Abstract
A new species of marine mite, Agauopsis filirostris (Superfamily Halacaroidea) is described from the coast of southern California, U.S.A., and· its taxonomie relationship to ether members of the genus Agauopsis is determined. A new record of A. curvata KRANTZ, 1973 from the same area is established.
