Abstract

Five new species of Veigaia, V. preendopodalia, V. sylvatica, V. philippiensis, V. incisa and V. nodosoides are described and a key to North American species is given. V. mitis Berlese is redescribed. V. mitis has bisexual populations in Maryland and North Carolina, but in West Virginia and in the northern part of its range only females are known. Unisexual forms of Veigaia tend to be associated with marginal habitats
