Abstract
Nine new Australiobates species from New Guinea are described and first records are reported for Dropursa babinda Cook, 1986, Coaustraliobates minor (Lundblad, 1947) and Coaustraliobates longipalpis (Lundblad, 1947). The importance of secondary sclerotization and plate development are discussed.
