Abstract
Five species of Tenuipalpidae were collected on conifers in France: Aegyptobia aletes (Pritchard and Baker), 0ligomerismus taxi (Haller), O. oregonensis (McGregor), Cenopalpus lineola (Canestrini and Fanzago) and C. pulcher (Canestrini and Fanzago). To date, the first four species have not been reported in France, the first one has not been reported in Western Europe. Three predators associated with these acari were collected. Two were Phytoseiidae, Amblydromella rhenanoides (Athias Henriot), listed for the first time in France and Kampimodromus aberrans (Oudemans). Third was a Cheyletidae, Cheletomimus berlesei Oudemans, which in Europe has only been recorded in ltaly. The karyotype study of Oligomerismus oregonensis showed that this false spider mite has 2n = 6 chromosomes.
