Abstract

Eight new feather mite genera of the family Analgidae are established and the type species (re)described. The subfamilial assignements, the genera and type species (given in parentheses) are: Analginae: Atelanalges (Hemialges attenuatus Trouessart 1919), Chelonialges (Chelonialges trigonothyrus, n. sp.), Docimeralges (Docimeralges phymatomerus, n. sp.), Euschizalges (Megninia laglaizeae Trouessart 1886); Megniniinae: Micralges (Micralges steganonotus, n. sp.), Scleralges (Scleralges hystrix, n. sp.); Protalginae: Bolbomerius (Bolbomerius pelecytarsus, n. sp.), Cypselalges (Megninia aestivalis Berlese 1886).
