Abstract

A new mite species belonging to the family Teneriffiidae, Austroteneriffia khorramabadiensis n. sp., from southwestern Iran (Khorramabad vicinity, Lorestan province) is described and illustrated based on females and males sampled from the soil and litter associated with oak trees. A key to adult females of the genus Austroteneriffia is also provided based on the original description and the literature.
