B&PMP (Biochemistry and Plant Molecular Physiology) is defined as an Integrative Biology research department, focused on the mechanisms of plant responses and adaptation to variable abiotic environmental conditions. B&PMP is one of the 3 departments which compose the "Integrative Biology Institute for Plants" (IBIP).

These last fifteen years, B&PMP has gained a strong scientific identity by unraveling the molecular mechanisms which contribute to determine the hydro-mineral balance of plants, subjected to various abiotic stresses.
