ELSA (Environmental Life cycle and Sustainability Assessment) is a research group for life cycle assessment and industrial ecology. It gathers researchers, professors and students from different research labs and post-graduate institutions of the Languedoc-Roussillon region (France). Member of ELSA benefit from the shared expertise and corporate knowledge within the group. The platform’s purpose is to stimulate research and transfer to industries in eco-technologies applied to biomass for energy, agricultural and food products, wastewater management, agricultural technology, water, territory… Members of ELSA work together to
- Develop interaction & communication with industrial partners, consultants or government institutions.
- Provide graduate and vocational training.
- Disseminate scientific knowledge through workshops, seminars, etc…
- Publish new scientific results.
ELSA has been created in 2008 and thanks to the support and funding of the Languedoc-Roussillon region. This multidisciplinary group has been created by five funding organisms (CIRAD, Ecole des Mines d’Alès, INRA, Irstea, Montpellier SupAgro).
