The spider mites web is hosted by INRA
Alain is an engineer with INRA at the CBGP in Montpellier (France).
He is working on various aspects regarding Tetranychidae biology and database managing.
A large part of his work is devoted to Tetranychidae systematics mainly with phylogenetics, biogeography and phylogeography aspects.
His other interests are distribution modelling and analysis.

Franck is a computer scientist with biological background. He has
developed databases and websites about biodiversity for instance|
* Pest Insects of our Cultural Heritage a site dedicated to Insects known to cause damage to heritage works
* PINS a database devoted to nematodes in collaboration with IRD.
He is currently involved in bioinformatics projects aiming to transcriptome reconstructions and gene expression applied to the study of two agricultural pests, the corn borer (Ostrinia scapulalis) and the pine processionary (Thaumetopoea pityocampa)
