The data indicated that certain areas were more favoured (or tick survival in these areas was better) by the ticks than others, each stage having preferred zones, the older ticks proportionally more numerous on the posterior portions of the host. The pattern of distribution of the tick populations on susceptible, resistant, and resistant calves restrained from self-grooming, were similar. ER -
