Abstract

Nine species of mites of the families Ascidae, Ereynetidae and Trombiculidae are recorded from the nasal cavities of Cuban birds. These are: Tropicoseius bakeri sp. n., Boydaia sp., B. tyrannis Ford, 1959, B. agelaii Fain et Aitken, 1968, B. rosickyi sp. n., B. morenoi sp. n., B. faini sp. n., Neoboydaia (Aureliana) sp. and Babiangia (Iguanacarus) danieli sp. n. The descriptions and figures of the new species are given.
