Abstract
Peridispus foliiger n.g., n. sp., Tarsonemien nouveau de cote d ivoire (Scutacaridae: Peridispodinae n. subfam.). - Peridispus joliiger n g., n. sp., a new Tarsonemid mite from Ivory Coast (West Africa). (Scutacaridae: Peridispodinae, n. sub fam.). The new Scutacarid subfamilly. Peridispodinae is described. The main genuine features are: the horizontal position of the gnathosoma, the prodorsum only partially covered by the anterior limb of « segment >> C, the antiaxial location of the ventral hairs ra, 3a an 3b, and tlw scutacarid-like shape of leg IV.
Peridispus n. g. is mainly characterized by the paraxial position of the hair c1 and the antiaxial insertion of c2 on the free margin of limb C. Peridispus joliiger n. sp. is recognizable by the little size of the dorsal hairs, the leaf shaped ventral hairs, the strong hair h1, the presence of only 5 setae on the tibiotarsus IV, 3.nd the tibiotarsus I without ambulacrum.
