Abstract

New information is given on the biology and distribution in Australia of the following described species: Bdella captiosa, Spinibdella cronini, S. corticis, S. depressa, S. temtirostris, Biscirus thori and Cyta latirostris. Six new species are described, viz., Bdella humida, Spinibdella ampulla, Bircints arenarius, B. aquilonius, B. obliquus, and Cyta longiseta. Spermatophore and egg deposition and web production are described in several species.
