Abstract

Demodex lacrimalis sp.n. is described from the male, female, nymph and larva collected from the Meibomian glands of the eyelids of Apodemus sylvaticus in the Netherlands. Two other species of Demodex (D. longior Hirst and D. apodemi Hirst) are already known from hair follicles of this host [cf. RAE/B 6, p. 235].
