Abstract

The growth potentialities of the red spider mite Oligonychus coffeae (Nietner) at 30° +/- 3°C; 85 +/- 5 % R. H. on Assam and China varieties of tea were measured. The intrinsic rate of increase and other population parameters of the mite were higher on China variety than on Assam variety of tea.
