Abstract
Ascouracarinae, n. sub. fam. des Syringobiidae, Sarcoptiformes plumicoles. - The quill inhabiting Syringobiidae Trouessart 1896 (11ew status) is redefined and divided into the Syringobiinae s. s. and the Ascouracarinae, new subfamily. Taxa of the new subfamily are described and illustrated; Ascouracants Gaud and Kolebinova 1973, type-species: Dermoglyphus lwsarovi Vassilev 1959 ( = Ascouracarns vassilevi Gaud et Kolebinova 1973); Ascogastra n. g., type-species: Dermoglyplms (Sphaerogastra) monstrosns Trouessart 1898; Cystoidosoma n. g., type-species: C. labidostoina ri. sp.; Orphanacarns n. g., type-species O. trichozonus 11. sp.; Petersonascus n. g., type-species P anacrotrichus n. sp.; and Pyonacarus n. g., t yi:;e-species P. polysarcits n. sp.
