Abstract

Caracteres compares des hypopes de Rhizoglyphus echinopus Fum. et Robin et de Sancassania chelone Oudemans (Astigmates: Acaridae). - From a comparative study of the hypopi of both Rhizoglyphus echinopus (sensu Van Eyndhoven) and Sancassania chelone, the type species of Sancassania, the author concludes that S. chelone is distinguished from Rh. echinopus by the presence of an additional seta on tarsus I (seta ba) and the absence of pits on the tegmen. The author agrees with van Eyndhoven concerning the taxonomie position of Rhizoglyphus robini and Rh. echinopus.
