Abstract
Dendrolaelaps saprophilus n. sp., described in this paper, is closely related to D. arvicolus (Leitner 1949) and to D. insignis Hirschmann 1960. Masses of D. saprophilus occurred in a mixture of sewage sludge and crushed bark deposited on soil, and this species was often found with D. arvicolus.
