1983 - Volume: 24 Issue: 4 pages: 343-345
Abstract
The male of Poecilochirus subterraneus (Mull.) is described for the first time and illustrated from examples collected from the dead body of a mole (Talpa europaea) that had been buried by by silphids and was already colonised by Nicrophorus humator (Gleditsch), calliphorid larvae, all stages of P. carabi G. Can. and R. Can. and females of Alliphis necrophilus Christie. Characters are given distinguishing P. subterraneus from related species.
