Abstract
Three new species and one new subspecies of the genus Scutacarus (subgenus Variatipes) are described and illustrated. These species were named Scutacarus evansi, S. moustafai, S. offaliensis and S. eucomus clonsasti. Al! were found in reclaimed peat soil at Clonsast, Co. Offaly.
