Abstract

A new genus, Roubikia, is proposed for the species Chaetodactylus panamensis Baker et al., 1987. The deutonymph of this species is redescribed and some corrections are made to the original descriptions of the other ontogenetic stages. Phylogenetic relationships among the three genera now comprising the Chaetodactylidae are hypothesized based upon parsimony analysis of 45 morphological characters. Roubikia is hypothesized to be the sister-genus of a clade comprising Chaetodactylus and Sennertia.
