Abstract

Two Rhagidiidae, Brevipalpia minima Zacharda, 1980 and Hammenia macrostella Zacharda, 1980 were retrieved from forests of Belgium. This gave us the opportunity to assess the role of parataxonomy and molecular data in identifying soil mites and to emphasize the importance of morphological characters.
